SMART SHIM 944T WASTEGATE SHIM

Wastegate "Smart Shim" for the 944 Turbo Wastegate. The
first and only wastegate shim that doesn't require
removing the diaphragm pot to install. Just slide it in!
Shims are 1/16" thick and made from stainless steel. You
can stack from 1 to 3 in your wastegate to adjust your boost. We don't recommend more than 3. There is only
1/2" of valve travel in the wastegate. If you install a
1/16" shim, you lose 1/16" of that travel. So 1/2" of shims would keep your wastegate from opening at all.

Q: Is there an accurate number for the increase in boost for each shim used?
A: If you want to raise boost, you're best to use a boost controller. The shims work to bring the boost in a little earlier.
