PISTON RINGS



Lindsey Racing carries Genuine Porsche, Aftermarket (Goetze) and their own Lindsey Racing custom ring packs for the 100 and 104mm 4 cylinder engines. If you do not see what you're looking for here, contact us.

FYI - Genuine Porsche 100.5mm rings are no longer available!

Lindsey Racing uses a custom ring pack on their 100.5mm J&E and Mahle pistons but they are not sold on this web page. They do not fit pistons with stock ring groove thickness. If you have these pistons, you can contact us and get a replacement set.

Our Lindsey Racing 100mm rings (shown below) are custom ring packs we designed for 100mm Alusil bores that fit from stock 100mm bores up to .008" oversize if you're running a slightly larger custom piston or a skirt coated piston. They "WILL REQUIRE" file fitting the end gaps and will allow you to achieve .015" end gaps on the top and 2nd ring and .025" on the oil ring on bores up to 100mm + .008".

Both sets utilize a 440B Stainless Steel top ring with chrome face which makes this a step above the Genuine Porsche rings and you can get the gaps you want at a fraction of the price.

The LRA-RING-100-1517530-C2 set also has the 2nd chrome faced.



Because of the sizing we created, this allows you to take your stock pistons, skirt coat them up to .002" thick, hone the block accordingly, and have a ring pack that will still gap properly.

The Goetze and Genuine Porsche rings have a cast iron Top and 2nd ring. Our two sets use a 440B SS top ring as it's base material which has far greater strength to resist breaking from detonation as well as a much higher annealing temperature rating as well.

Both sets utilize a Cast Iron 2nd ring, but one set is chrome faced, and the other is not. The Chrome faced ring will last longer, but will require a longer break in period.

The Porsche and Goetze rings also have a Cast Iron 2nd ring as well as rings that come with J&E, Wossner and Mahle Motorsports piston sets.
