INTERCOOLER "HARD" PIPES for 944T

Lindsey Racing's Aluminum Intercooler Pipes for your 944 Turbo. Also called Hard Pipes, these new pipes feature minimal bends for maxium flow, straight 2-1/2" (63.5mm) aluminum pipes with bead rolled ends, exclusive custom designed and manufactured silicone connectors and hose clamps.



We are offereing the Intercooler to Throttle portion of the kit two different ways. The difference is in the silicone connector for the pipe to throttle body. One versions is set up for a stock type and location bypass valve. The Hose at the throttle body has a built in 1" ID hose to connect to the bypass valves outlet. The other version of the hose connection does not have a 1" hose for a bypass valve. You can attach your vent to atmosphere bypass valve to the aluminum pipe between the two hoses. There is 6" of exposed pipe between the hoses for you to mount your bypass valve.



Benefits:

  • The main benefit is the elimination of blowing the connectors off and loosing boost pressure. Stock pipes and connectors have a tendency to come loose and blow off. Usually at the wrong time or place. Imagine losing a connector during a race. You're done! You can watch the fun from the infield. The main reason this can happen is because of the small overlap of the hoses onto the fittings.
  • Another benefit is their good looks. Many of our customers take pride in the under hood appearance of the engine compartment. These cleanly manufactured pipes and hoses in both highly polished or satin black powder coated hard pipes fit the bill.

Available Configurations:

  • Using stock type bypass valve (hose at throttle body has 1" inlet hose for bypass valve)
  • Using vent to atmosphere type bypass valve (hose at throttle body has no 1" hose)


Available Pipe Finish:

  • Fully Polished (this is standard)
  • Satin Black Powder Coated


Available 5 Ply/6mm Silicone Connector Colors:

  • Black Silicone
  • Blue Silicone
  • Red Silicone
The Silicone Connectors were developed by Lindsey Racing especially for these kits. They were first generated in 3D drawings then 3D printed for test fitting. Capturing all the bends, diamaters and angles correctly was necessary in order to assemble a prototype using these rigid parts. If an angle was off, it would not allow us to assemble it. This insured a perfect fit of all connectors when the custom tooling was built and production parts manufactured. We even utilized a bead roll on the hose end that connects to the stock throttle like the original Porsche hose. This does however mean that this kit is meant for a stock throttle body and will not work if you have installed something else.



PLEASE NOTE:

These pipes will not work with the factory air box in place. Typical use would be for a car using a MAF kit such as the M-Tune and other kits removing the air box running a intake tube and conical air filter, or when running a stand alone type engine managament where you are just running a turbo inlet tube and filter. Consult us before purchasing if you have a inlet tube larger then 3" or are placing a filter directly on thet turbo inlet as this may cause interference.

Hose Connectors are sized for the stock intercoolers connections, stock throttle body with bead rolled inlet and standard 2" turbo compressor outlet.
