951 3" LINDSEY STEEL EXHAUST



Everyone looking for solid performance should upgrade the exhaust on their 951. It's one of the best upgrades you can find. The more you modify the engine, the more you need a good exhaust.

Until now, the only complete systems available are stainless steel and polished to boot. We all know there is no performance gain from the stainless steel. We all know there is no performance gain from the polish. This is a case where only size and shape matters. So what did we do?

Lindsey racing put together the most affordable production exhaust system anywhere for the 951. A system so inexpensive, you no longer have an excuse not to buy one. You can purchase this exhaust, a wastegate and intercooler for the price of a polished stainless system.

This exhaust is made from aluminized coated steel exhaust tubing and is a full 3" in diameter. Formed with mandrel bends making it free flowing throughout without pinch points and collapsed tubing like the factory system. All tubes are CNC mandril bent in one piece with no seams or sectioning. Welding is limited to flanges and hanger brackets. It performs as good or better than ANY 3" system on the market yet it starts at 1/3 the price.

We often get asked how long this system will last. Our competitors tell customers shopping that it will only last a year so you need to buy their stainless system. This is a farce. The systems are made from the same type of material found on a new car. Do those only last a year? What is more realistic is 10 years or 100,000 miles on average. We're confident saying it's probably the only and last system you will ever need to buy.

All systems come complete with copper gasket and band clamps. Nothing else is needed for installation.

On both our systems described below, the muffler, muffler replacement pipe and optional cat are sold separately.

LRA-951-EXH-31:




This 3" version is identical to the EXH-32 only we "do not" tie the wastegate outlet back into the primary system. We supply a small slash cut 45 degree dump pipe for the wastegate outlet. This is not recommend for a street driven application. It's simply an option for the dedicated track car wanting to save a little weight, cost and perhaps gain a few HP.

LRA-951-EXH-32:




Same as the EXH-31, only we "do" tie the wastegate outlet back into the primary tube. This is by far our most popular system and our suggested choice for the street and street/track car.

OPTIONAL 3" TURBO DOWN PIPE:


If you have been considering topping off your exhaust system purchase by adding our 3" Turbo Down Pipe, this is the perfect time. When you select the Turbo Down Pipe option at the check-out process, you get a true 3" pipe that starts approximately 1" from the turbo outlet and proceeds from there. The 3 bolt flange connection at the end of our down pipe is a larger bolt circle and different flange then the stock down pipe uses.

THERMAL COATING:


If you wish to have the exhaust thermal barrier coated, select either the EXH31 or EXH32 with thermal coating. That adds $250 to the price of a system. Highly recommended for a track car. It will help keep the heat from entering the driver compartment. It will also add to the life expectancy of the exhaust. With or without the thermal coating, the exhaust will give you many years of use.

MUFFLERS & MRPs:


The systems do not come with a muffler. Some of you may already have a muffler you want to use so we don't force you to purchase one. The dimensions of the mufflers we use are 19" overall length, 3" center in, and 3" center out.

  • Borla XR-1 Sportsman Racing Muffler Stainless Steel.
  • Flowmaster Outlaw Pre-Muffler.

Any of our 944 Turbo exhausts have the option to dump the wastegate to atmosphere. When you select that choice for your system, you get a Wastegate Outlet Dump Pipe or turn down as standard equipment supplied with the exhaust kit. The sound coming out of that can be loud since it's pre-turbo. So we developed a Wastegate Outlet Muffler. You can select this optional Wastegate Muffler through the exhaust checkout process. We will supply this outlet muffler, and you will not get the standard turn down.
