LINDSEY RACING A/C DELETE BRACKET

The Lindsey Racing A/C Delete Bracket allows you to remove the A/C compressor and relocate the alternator. Once that's done, you can remove none or as much of the rest of the A/C system as you want.



When building a race car, who needs Air Conditioning (A/C)? Or if your A/C system is dead, and you don't want to invest in the repairs, you can remove it.

This 6061 T6 Billet Aluminum CNC Machined A/C Delete bracket allows you to use your Stock Alternator or our optional Bosch Light Weight Racing Alternator which is narrower between the mounting tabs.



With this Bracket, when you relocate the alternator further down where the A/C compressor is, you allow for more room for MAF kits and other intake systems.

OPTIONAL BOSCH RACING ALTERNATOR:

The factory alternator weighs 15.5 pounds. The Bosch Racing Alternator weighs in a light 7 pounds. For short track racing featuring 14V/55A, Compact Size, Dual Internal Cooling Fans, External Regulator & Rectifier. You will be required to modify your original alternator pulley and install it on this alternator as it comes with a V belt style pulley. It requires machining on the face to thin up the area the shaft passes through in order to get full thread engagement of the shaft nut. You will also be required to drill out two holes on the alternator where it swings on the bracket to 10mm from 8mm.

We sell the alternator separately, or as a kit with the other items required to install on our bracket. This includes a shorter A/C Delete Belt (not the same as the standard A/C Delete Belt), and mounting hardware required for the difference in the alternators.

The brackets which are narrow for the Racing Alternator are identified by the name "Lindsey" on it. The previous style bracket which is wider at the pivot point is identified by having "Lindsey Racing" on it. You can modify the previous style bracket if you like to accept the Racing Alternator.
