SPEC STAGE 1 thru 4 CLUTCH KITS 944T "951" ** PULL/STANDARD TYPE **

This series of SPEC Clutch Kits installs as a stock unit keeping all stock hydraulics. They can be used with the stock flywheel or flywheels shown below.

We carry the entire line of SPEC clutches for your 944 Turbo stages 1 thru Stage 5. With Standard, Hybrid and Aluminum Pressure Plates, Aluminum and Steel Billet Flywheels, and the 185mm Mini Twin! We also carry handy clutch hardware kits to supply you all the pieces under the bell housing you should change while doing a clutch job.

If you're looking to get rid of the clutch fork and slave cylinder, check out the new "PUSH TYPE" clutch kits.

Stage 1


Features an integrally molded carbon kevlar-based, high performance organic lining that offers smooth engagement and excellent life. This lining has an integrally bonded steel backing for strength under high clamp loads and temperatures. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Best for street and many track/off-road applications.

Stage 2


Features segmented or full faced pure Kevlar disc with steel backing. This lining features excellent drivability like the stage 1, but offers slightly longer life and higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Best for street, drag, pulling and autocross.

Stage 3


Features a carbon semi-metallic 6 puck (optional 4 or 3 puck)sprung hub disc that has been the leading puck clutch in drivability, life and torque capacity. This unit is designed for street and race cars that require an aggressive but streetable engagement and high torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Also available in 3 puck configuration. Great for street, drag, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Stage 3 Hybrid


Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. Bridging the gap between stage 2 and stage 3, the Hybrid or also called 2+ offers drivability and engagement quality characteristic of the stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, autocross, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Stage 3 Full Metallic


The flagship stage single disc for a high powered street or race car that requires a manageable and friendly engagement, the Full Metallic or also called stage 3+ features a carbon semi-metallic full faced material that offers unparalleled life, friction co-efficient and drivability characteristics in one single package. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability. Great for street, drag, drift, autocross, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Stage 4


This unit is a solid hub version of the stage 3. The hub is solid 8-rivet design and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability. It is available with a 6 puck or optional 4 or 3 puck configuration. Use the 3 puck for the lightest option or the 6 puck for the smoothest engagement. The 4 puck is a good compromise for both. Street drivable in 6 puck configuration, but not street friendly due to the rigid hub. Best for drag racing, road racing, pulling, rally and drift.

Billet Aluminum Flywheel




Light weight Aluminum Flywheel. Rebuildable/Replaceable friction surface.

This light weight flywheel is approximately 10 pounds lighter then the stock flywheel.

Billet Steel Flywheel




Light weight Steel Billet Flywheel.

Designed for and first offered by Lindsey Racing is the SPEC Billet Steel 951 Flywheel! This new scallop design flywheel weighs only 7-3/4 pounds. It is the stiffest flywheel available for the 944 Turbo. Because of it's scallop design, it simulates a flywheel almost 3 pounds lighter than it actually weighs. That puts it within 1 pound of it's SPEC Aluminum Flywheel brother.

Pressure Plate Upgrades


Now available from Lindsey Racing are two different SPEC Aluminum Pressure Plate options!

The Hybrid Aluminum Pressure Plate and the Full Aluminum Pressure Plate.

Hybrid Aluminum Pressure Plate




This Optional Hybrid Aluminum Pressure Plate for use with any of the Stage 1 through 4 clutch kits above. It increases the clamp load with less weight then a standard steel pressure plate.

So you could use a less aggressive disc with additional holding capability to meet you needs.

The Hyrbid Aluminum Pressure Plate (12.2 lbs.) has a Steel Cover and also a Aluminum Plate with a steel replaceable friction surface.

Full Aluminum Pressure Plate




The Full Aluminum Pressure Plate (8.6 lbs) has both an Aluminum Cover and Aluminum Plate (the round disc that the clutch disc rides against) with a steel replaceable friction surface.

Both of these optional Pressure Plates are rated the same in clamp load or torque holding ability, but the Full Aluminum is lighter then the Hybrid and any other single disc unit on the market by about 2-1/2 pounds!

Unlike their competition, they require only 5% more pedal effort than stock, releases quicker, are SFI approved and are both "rebuildable".

It offers 20% more torque holding capability than the standard SPEC steel versions which already have more clamping force than any of the SACHS kits we sell.

The following numbers are from SPEC for the clamp load capabilities of their clutch kits for the 951. These are for a new clutch properly broken in and with a new or refurbished flywheel. Heat can reduce these numbers on a Stage I or II kit with organic discs. Stage III and IV kits use metallic compounds which are not affected by heat. This makes the clutch feel the same on the first through the last lap.

In the past, we have used a separate order form for placing International orders. We have quit using that process and are requiring all customer to use the shopping cart system built into the web site and it's check out process.

If you simply want a quotation and are not ready to place an order, then cut and paste the contents of your shopping basket, take a screen shot of the basket, or make a list of items and send us a email requesting a quotation with shipping.

If you need shipping prices before you make your final decision to purchase, then you should request that quotation by email and not use the shopping cart checkout process because you will be paying for the parts at that time.

Since our shopping cart and shipping estimator will "NOT" correctly calculate shipping charges on International Orders, we have it set-up to where the shipping will be Zero Dollars ($0.00) when checking out. When the shopping carts address process learns you are not in the United States by selecting your particular country, that's when it switches to equal Zero. That does NOT mean shipping is free.

Upon completion of the check out process, you will have paid for your parts but NOT the shipping on those parts.

Once we look over your parts ordered and calculate shipping weights and box sizes, we will send you an E-Mail with at least one shipping option and maybe several. We utilize UPS, DHL and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to deliver your parts.

Once you pick a shipping carrier and agree to the quotation by returning the E-Mail, we will be sending a PayPal money request for the amount of the shipping to be collected. If the parts are expected to be shipping out quickly, then you may receive that email quickly. If the parts are going to need to be built or something is on back order from the list of parts, we may hold off sending that E-Mail until we have the shipment ready to go. It can vary from order to order as to how we do that. If you think you should be hearing from us quickly, but you don't, feel free to contact us.
