Performance Clutch and Flywheels for Porsche

SPEC clutches are well known in the Viper, Corvette, Spec Miata, Import and Drag racing circles and others. Although they have a complete line of kits for the Porsche, they may be one of the best kept secrets. Lindsey Racing is bringing the SPEC clutch kits to center stage. We feel these may be the best clutch value for Porsche there is. Not only in performance but price as well.

All kits come with a 120 day warranty covering workmanship. Not only that, a 120 day warranty for "performance" What you say? Yes... If the clutch kit does not perform as needed, it will be replaced!

These STAGE 1, 2, 3 and 4 kits come with Pressure Plate, Clutch Disk, T/O Bearing and Pilot Bearing. Prices of the kits are listed below. We can provide hardware, guide tubes and any other component needed during your clutch swap.

It's always a good idea to use new hardware when removing the pressure plate and/or flywheel. We can supply this hardware. It's also a good idea to replace the T/O Bearing guide sleeve and Clutch Fork bearings. We offer these pieces in kit form to include with your clutch kit. Ask for details if not listed. The perfect time to install a light weight aluminum flywheel is when you have your clutch removed. Changing the clutch on some models can take hours. It only takes a few more minutes to swap the flywheel. If pulling the flywheel, and think your rear main crankshaft seal may be leaking, there is no better time to replace it. It's located behind the flywheel and can easily accessed and changed with the flywheel removed.

High clamp pressure plate, steel-backed woven organic disk. SPEC performance stage I clutch kits offer all of the performance and holding power that most enthusiasts will ever need. SPEC stage I kits are designed to be driver friendly - yet they deliver enough holding power to handle most performance modifications. Stage I will give a little bit firmer pedal than stock but not stiff.

STAGE 2

High clamp pressure plate, segmented chatter-free Kevlar disc. SPEC performance stage II clutch kits offer more performance and holding power than the stage one. They are still designed to be driver friendly - yet they deliver additional holding power and durability to handle more aggressive conditions. Stage II will also give a little bit firmer pedal than stock but not stiff.

STAGE 3/4

High-clamp pressure plate, 3-piece disc with carbon or ceramic material. SPEC performance stage III clutch kits use even stronger pressure plates and four-puck discs to handle serious power. All stage III kits use a unique performance pressure plate. This results in a pedal that is noticeably firmer than stock, but not awkwardly stiff.
