OIL FILTER THREAD ADAPTER 924S / 944 ALL / 968



This unique Thread Adapter from Lindsey Racing replaces the original 20x1.5mm thread sized for the standard oil filter to a 3/4"x16 to accommodate some filters that are superior to what's available for the original thread size.



We currently are stocking and offering two oil filters utilizing this thread size and that will fit the oil filter console filter size specifications.

The FRAM Xtended Guard and the FRAM Racing HP10 oil filters.



The non-bypass design of the FRAM Xtended Guard provides full filtration at all times. We recommend full engine warm up before running it hard. This would be especially true in colder climates. At no time will unfiltered oil run though your engine. This also assumes that the filter is changed frequently and that the filter never becomes clogged with contaminants.

The bypass design of the FRAM HP10 is more suited for street applications and colder climates where you are more likely to start and drive, or allow less warm up time. The bypass design is so that if the filter should become full of contaminants (typically more are encountered on the street due to poor air, more carbon build up due to extended idle time and the filter is not changed nearly as often as would be expected in a purpose built race engine) then the oil will bypass the filter and continue to flow through the block thus not over pressurizing the filter. The down side is that unfiltered oil can run though your engine.

Installation is straight forward and simple. You simply remove (unscrew) the old unit from the oil filter console, and replace with this new Adapter.
