Performance Clutch and Flywheels for Porsche

SPEC clutches are well known in the Viper, Corvette, Spec Miata, Import and Drag racing circles and others. Although they have a complete line of kits for the Porsche, they may be one of the best kept secrets. Lindsey Racing is bringing the SPEC clutch kits to center stage. We feel these may be the best clutch value for Porsche there is. Not only in performance but price as well.

All kits come with a 120 day warranty covering workmanship. Not only that, a 120 day warranty for "performance". What you say? Yes... If the clutch kit does not hold the Power as advertised , it will be replaced!

These STAGE 1, 2, 3 and 4 kits come with Pressure Plate, Clutch Disk, T/O Bearing and Pilot Bearing. We can provide hardware, guide tubes and any other components needed during your clutch swap.

It's always a good idea to use new hardware when removing the pressure plate and/or flywheel. We can supply this hardware. It's also a good idea to replace the T/O Bearing guide sleeve and Clutch Fork bearings. We offer these pieces in kit form to include with your clutch kit. Ask for details if not listed. The perfect time to install a light weight flywheel is when you have the clutch removed. Changing the clutch on some models can take hours. It only takes a few more minutes to swap the flywheel. If pulling the flywheel, and you think your rear main crankshaft seal may be leaking, there is no better time to replace it. It's located behind the flywheel and can easily accessed and changed with the flywheel removed.

SPEC Clutch offers high performance clutches for your Porsche vehicle. SPEC Clutch features light pedal pressure with different stages to suit your needs. From street/strip clutch of a stage 1, to full drag racing of a stage 5, we have you covered! SPEC Clutch gives you high quality, high torque capacity clutch with great variety for your vehicle. Most kits come with new release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool (if applicable and/or available).

Stage 1


For bolt on all-motor and mildly modified forced induction. Stock-like drivability and very good wear characteristics. Features high clamp pressure plate and steel-backed and multi-compound woven organic material and high torque sprung hub disc.

Stage 2


For mild to moderately modified engines. Stock-like daily drivability and excellent wear characteristics. Features high clamp pressure plate and pure Kevlar friction material and high torque sprung hub and disc assembly.

Stage 3


For heavily modified street and race engines. Offers sufficient daily drivability with a comfortable pedal feel and quick engagement. Offers good wear characteristics under low and high stress usage. Features high clamp pressure plate and 6 or 4 puck carbon semi-metallic friction with high torque sprung hub disc.

Stage 3 Hybrid


For engines making more torque than the Stage 2 can support but not quite ready for a Stage 3. Maintains Stage 2 feel for good daily drivability and offers very good wear characteristics, but provides a higher torque capacity. The Flywheel side of the disc is Stage 2 Full Round Kevlar faced while the Pressure Plate side is Stage 3 six puck carbon semi-metallic.

Stage 3 Full Metallic


The Stage Full Metallic features a streetable high clamp pressure plate and full face carbon semi-metallic disc. Listed as an upgrade to the stage 3, it offers torque capacities more comparable to the stage 5 but with drivability equal to, and in some cases better than, the stage 3. The high capacity and excellent drivability characteristics of this clutch is a result of years of research and development for this SPEC exclusive disc compound.

Stage 4


For heavily modified engines where an instantaneous engagement and light weight are beneficial. Not street-friendly due to harsh engagement. Features high clamp pressure plate and 6 or 4 puck carbon semi-metallic friction with high torque solid hub disc.

Stage 5


For extremely modified drag race. Not street-friendly due to harsh engagement. Features high clamp pressure plate (adjustability available on some applications) and solid hub iron disc.

In the past, we have used a separate order form for placing International orders. We have quit using that process and are requiring all customer to use the shopping cart system built into the web site and it's check out process.

If you simply want a quotation and are not ready to place an order, then cut and paste the contents of your shopping basket, take a screen shot of the basket, or make a list of items and send us a email requesting a quotation with shipping.

If you need shipping prices before you make your final decision to purchase, then you should request that quotation by email and not use the shopping cart checkout process because you will be paying for the parts at that time.

Since our shopping cart and shipping estimator will "NOT" correctly calculate shipping charges on International Orders, we have it set-up to where the shipping will be Zero Dollars ($0.00) when checking out. When the shopping carts address process learns you are not in the United States by selecting your particular country, that's when it switches to equal Zero. That does NOT mean shipping is free.

Upon completion of the check out process, you will have paid for your parts but NOT the shipping on those parts.

Once we look over your parts ordered and calculate shipping weights and box sizes, we will send you an E-Mail with at least one shipping option and maybe several. We utilize UPS, DHL and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to deliver your parts.

Once you pick a shipping carrier and agree to the quotation by returning the E-Mail, we will be sending a PayPal money request for the amount of the shipping to be collected. If the parts are expected to be shipping out quickly, then you may receive that email quickly. If the parts are going to need to be built or something is on back order from the list of parts, we may hold off sending that E-Mail until we have the shipment ready to go. It can vary from order to order as to how we do that. If you think you should be hearing from us quickly, but you don't, feel free to contact us.
