WBO2 LOCATION

This picture shows where we mount the Wide Band O2 sensor in the 944 Turbo exhaust system. The Wide Band sensors used today in most companies Wide Band Kits should be placed in a low exhaust pressure location. The exhaust pressure in the stock location mounted in the cross over pipe before the turbo hot housing is much greater than after the turbo as shown here. This is approximately 36" from the turbo's exhaust outlet.

Although a little difficult to determine here, the sensor is tipped downward (about 10:00 position) so that moisture does not collect in the sensor tip.
