HORSEPOWER TALK NEWS LETTER

February 2005:

WOW can you believe it’s well into 2005 already? We would like to start off by saying we hope everyone had a safe and happy Holiday season. Here’s to a great year for everyone. We are looking forward to serving you during the coming year and introducing many new exciting products throughout the year.

Starting in 2005, we will be awarding 1 in store gift certificate on a monthly basis. You will get the instructions on how to win them by reading our news letters. So make sure you read them to find out how you can win.

We will also run sales and specials regularly, but usually for just a short period of time. Some will only run for 24 hours. These will be announced on the mailing list, and no longer on our web site. You must read the news letter to learn about and take advantage of these specials.

So as everyone is working on their winter projects gearing up for the spring season, here are a few new products you may want to include:

Our 4 Inch Exhaust a.k.a “Deep Throaty” is a option if maximum horsepower is your goal. This exhaust will allow a larger decrease in exhaust pressure between the turbo and the cylinder head on most levels of build. We have seen a 5 psi drop on the two cars tested so far over a 3" system. We offer the system as a complete system, or as a upgrade if you already have our 3" system.

The Hard Pipe Kit is a great way to add some “bling” under your hood while solving that never ending problem of blowing the connecters off during a race. In addition, the aluminum pipe material helps to make for a cooler intake temperature than stainless steel or plain steel pipes. We offer the pipes separately or in a kit to allow you to choose the most cost effective method for your upgrade. We offer the silicone hoses in Blue, Red or Black.

Our latest product is the 4-inch stainless steel cat back exhaust for the 951. This product is available in both plain and polished again allowing you to choose the best application for your “baby.” The installation process can be done with ease since the cat back simply attaches to your stock or aftermarket cat pipe or cat bypass pipe with 4 bolt flange type connections. We are also offering several options in mufflers as well muffler replacement pipe should you need one or both. When combined with the Fabspeed 3" cat bypass you can have a complete system.

Some of you who frequent the web site may have noticed that we now have a Bulletin Board called www.Turbo944.com available to anyone who wishes to participate in a board where there can be a continuous discussion about our passion the 944 Turbo. Richard Davis is the originator and moderator of the board. Richard’s goal is to provide the community of 944 Turbo owners a Tech Info Knowledge base that can be easily searched and updated. So feel free to sign up and join in on the discussions.

Finally, Mike is running a questionnaire to further his knowledge concerning head gasket failure. He has theories that can be proven by gathering lots of data. So please reply! If you have had a head gasket failure, please take the time to answer these questions and e-mail them back to Mike@Zipbang.com. Please include any photos or other data you feel is pertinent.

Have a great February everyone and don’t forget about Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14th. Forget about your Porsche that one day and focus on your significant other. Then... we will talk on the 15th...
