The New Look. Actually it looks about the same on the outside other than the addition of painting the
front air splitter purple and the new fiberglass roof skin.
View showing the rear figerglass body panel and the fiberglass valances painted purple.
Common in!!! Take a look around. Newly remodled interior. Addtional roll bar parts. Carbon dash. Gutted doors at 29lbs. each. (note the inside handle location.) The lexan side windows finger zues fasten to the lower window seal area for QUICK!!! removal.
New home to the fuel cell. (not pictured is a aluminum box covering the fuel connections.) Visible is the new dash extension and the
carbon dashboard. We have added a compliment of Auto Meter guages.
The radiator now sits at the rear of the car. Stock electric fans below and NACA window ducts help to supply air to it. Aluminum sheet now makes up the rear floor and wheel tubs giving it a new look.
The front header panel removes in seconds with 2 finger zues fastners revealing the front changes. It takes a moment to realize that
the massive new intercooler is not the radiator. If this don't cool the intake temp... nothing will !
Intercooler is the main attraction at the front of the car. Note the coolant lines running off to the left. They work down over the right front tire, through the rocker panel, then a few twists and turns and back to the radiator. This does add some additionl weight from hoses, coolant and brackets, but it also moves the 30 lbs. of radiator and fans to the rear of the car where it is more needed. It also gave us unlimited room up front for our other planned mods.
We will be attending the DE at Heartland Topeka on the 7th and 8th of August.
